NAPERVILLE, IL — In the aftermath of Sunday's E-F3 tornado, cars and pedestrians have swarmed the area in and around Naperville's Ranchview neighborhood, impeding efforts to aid residents with cleanup and relief. City officials are urging motorists and pedestrians to steer clear of the area unless they live nearby or are helping with the ongoing cleanup. On Saturday, the street will be closed between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. Bailey Road reopened Wednesday after utility crews finished removing power lines that were downed in the tornado. Wehrli Road is set to reopen between 77th Street and Muirhead Avenue later Wednesday afternoon. City officials said ongoing utility work could lead to additional lane closures on nearby roads in the coming days. Residents were encouraged to check the Waze app for information about traffic closures.
