FREMONT, CA — A water main break on Japala Court in Fremont damaged homes Tuesday afternoon, according to the Fremont Fire Department. "A total of nine homes were impacted with three sustaining heavy water damage," the fire department said in a Facebook post. No injuries were reported. The water department responded for debris and water removal, and PG&E turned off the power to the heavily affected homes. Alameda County Water District serves Fremont, Newark, and Union City.
