TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa has allowed the emergency water conservation order issued for residents south of the Black Warrior River over the weekend to expire at noon on Wednesday. While time was of the essence in addressing the major leak in a raw water line at the Ed Love Water Treatment Plant, Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox said the city was able to address the source quickly before any major impacts could result from a lack of water pressure or service. "We thank the water customers in the affected area for their cooperation over the last few days." The city said customers with any questions regarding the emergency order or the recent impacts to the city's water system are asked to call Tuscaloosa 311.
