Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 06/22/2021  211731737 Preliminary information: On June 22, 2021 at around 8:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of William H Borders Dr and Edgewood Ave SE on a person shot call. Upon arrival, officers located a male sitting in the driver seat of vehicle with gunshot wounds. The male told responding officers while he was approaching the intersection, another vehicle drove by and opened fire. He was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.  Investigators were notified and will be working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation continues.  Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
