Due to no fault of his own, we are looking to re-home our two-year-old Smooth Coat Ticked Border Collie, named Chase. Chase loves to play fetch and run. He’s potty and crate trained, loves long rides in the car or truck, and is in desperate need for an owner with an active lifestyle that will let him tag along. He is a loyal companion once he warms up to you. Chase needs a family without any small children (3 & under), dogs, or cats. He has been very gentle and safe with our two-year-old but Chase is a little clumsy and impulsive which isn’t the best combination for young children. Chase is neutered but does need his vaccinations. Due to COVID and ridiculous schedules, we were unable to get him in for his vaccinations. We got him from a “rescue” and they did not give us papers and vet records. He comes with a collar, leash, harness, halti/gentle leader, tennis balls, Food (Purina Dog Chow), blanket, two doses of K9 Advantix, and two reward (dog treat) puzzles. Disclaimer- He barks at people he doesn’t know. As soon as he knows you’re cool and won’t steal his tennis balls, he will warm up quickly. In true Border Collie fashion, he is neurotic and afraid of everything but is also extremely smart and dedicated to work. We are asking a small rehoming fee of $350. We paid the “rescue” $600 but due to him needing vaccines, we are only asking a small fee, to ensure he goes to a good home. This rehoming fee may be negotiable for the right family. We will interview (phone) but it’s just to feel out your intentions. We would also like to do a meet and greet, to make sure it’s a good fit but this is also negotiable (we understand with all of the crazies nowadays).
