Summary Overview: The position requires a person that has a good attitude and flexible work schedule to keep St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, grounds and facilities clean and operating safely. 40 hours per week to include evenings and weekends as needed. Perform custodial tasks with other members of the maintenance staff, including: • Bathroom cleaning, restocking supplies; school campus and parking lot trash pickup. • Emptying trash containers, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors. • General cleanup and vacuum of School Office buildings. • General handyman tasks related to electrical, plumbing. • Set up and tear down for events and meetings. • Available on radio communication for emergencies that arise. • Perform other work-related tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor. • Work independently with little direct supervision. Physical Requirements: • Knowledge of procedures, practices, tools, and equipment used in janitorial and handyman environment. • Move, load, and unload equipment and supplies weighing 35 pounds and heavier. • Walk around campus; bend, stoop, squat, and reach; climb ladders. • Use judgment related to emergency and safety matters.
