Description
Did you know that reducing sedentary behavior may improve your health? Dr. Dorothy Sears and colleagues from UC San Diego are conducting a research study to better understand how extended sitting impact health. We want to learn whether short standing breaks improve health.
Are you a woman who has gone through menopause, is 55+ years old, consider yourself overweight and who spends a lot of time each day sitting down? Are you interested in research?
If you are eligible, you will participate in 3 study visits of 7 hours each at the UC San Diego Center for Clinical Research. At each visit, you will sit in a comfortable chair for 6hrs during which you will intermittently stand for brief periods of time. The 1 screening visit and 3 study visits will be completed within approximately 4-6 week time. You may receive up to $260 if you participate in all study activities and study visits.
