Target Hire Date: Immediately Salary: $25-$28/hour, generous 401k plan (6% match), health insurance reimbursement and paid time off. General Information Sustainable Comfort, Inc. (SCI), a Worcester, Massachusetts based green building firm with expertise in multifamily housing, is searching for a renovation carpenter. SCI specializes in green building and deep energy retrofits of new and existing multifamily buildings, with a strong focus on the Worcester market. Key Activities: • Renovation of existing multifamily buildings with focus on deep energy reductions and improving quality of fit and finish. • Full interior renovations from insulation and framing, cabinets, kitchen and bathroom fixtures and wall, ceiling and floor finishes. • Work on a variety of exterior wall system renovations, including the addition of structural insulation on the building exterior. • Construct smaller decks, interior built-in shelves, and custom cabinetry as required. • Preform finish carpentry work, including trim and cabinet installation. • Provide exemplary customer service • Work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment to ensure work gets out the door on time. • Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: • Five plus (5+) years of renovation and remodeling experience preferred. • License to operate a motor vehicle, clean driving record. • Possess a professional and positive demeanor in dealing with clients and team members. • Passion and patience for doing things correctly. Interest in green building / sustainability. • Must be OSHA 10 certified, or able to obtain certification within 60 days of employment (SCI will pay any certification costs). • Able to safely lift 50+ lbs. on a daily basis • Ability to navigate stairs safely Primary Skills: • Motivated dependable self-starter. • Solid carpentry skills with an emphasis on remodeling • Strong sheetrock and painting skills preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Health insurance stipend • Paid time off • Parental leave • Professional development assistance • 12 paid Holidays • Tool loans and allowances Schedule: • Four 10 hour shifts, Most Friday’s off Supplemental Pay: • Bonus pay • Safety bonuses Work Location: • Multiple locations Work Remotely: • No Start Today If you are interested in applying, please send your resume to [email protected] or [email protected].
