Landscape Gardener We are an organization with a very large garden in the city of Spokane. We're looking for someone with a strong knowledge of ornamental plants who would be responsible for the following tasks: • Maintenance of landscape beds and plantings, including weeding, pruning, and the initial planting and replacing of plants when required. Monitoring and strengthening the health of the current plant material, as well as enhancing the quality of the garden, is a key element of this position. • Knowledge of electronic irrigation systems and ability to adjust settings, repair and modify heads and other components is helpful but not required. • A strong back will be required at times for certain elements of the work. Lawn mowing, most snow clearing, and periodic large landscape construction projects will be performed by other individuals and/or companies. This position is intended to bring the garden up to its full potential as a spectacular centerpiece and relaxing healing space for people to enjoy. This is a part time position with flexible hours, but with the ability to address peak demand times based on seasonal needs. Pay is dependent on experience, knowledge, strong recommendations, and the ability to work with initiative and efficiency.
