We are a 100% Vegan/Plant based catering company seeking to hire 2-3 Cooks/Helpers to join our dedicated kitchen staff for select summer outdoor events! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of 100% vegan street food in both professional kitchens as well as outdoor festivals/markets this summer in Chicago and Milwaukee. If using your own car for transportation to Milwaukee then travel is paid! If you need a ride to the Milwaukee events, we will try and accommodate you. Responsibilities: -Preparation of all served food -Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours -Comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions -Follow standard recipes and special diet orders  -Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently -Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes -Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances Qualifications: *Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields *Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques *Strong attention to detail *Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment *Ability to work well in teams *Ability to work outside in warm summer climates *Ability to stand for long periods of time at outdoor events ~Employment type: Per Diem ~Event timeframes: July-Sept (we'll send specific dates once you've been selected) ~Travel Pay is only for Milwaukee events ($45 per event) ~You will be provided free delicious vegan meals and receive tips!
