Position includes receiving, packaging, picking and delivering underground utility pipe, valves and fittings from warehouse to construction job sites. Applicant must have a strong customer service driven attitude as daily customer interaction will be required. A desire to learn the business and develop product knowledge will increase growth opportunities. Colorado Springs Winwater Co., is a fast-growing company and for the right applicant it could mean opportunities in warehouse management, counter sales, inside/outside sales and company operations. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have an excellent driving record. A commercial driver’s license is a plus but not a requirement. Forklift and trailer hauling experience is preferred but we will provide training for the right applicant. Job Functions: Hours are Monday thru Friday varying between 7:00am and 6:00pm. Operate company-owned commercial vehicles in a safe manner, ensuring that all traffic laws and DOT regulations are obeyed and safety procedures are followed. Assist in loading and unloading of merchandise on vehicle, ensuring the load is safely distributed in the vehicle and that proper material handling practices are used. Obtain signatures from customers upon delivery of merchandise. Follow assigned delivery schedule, ensuring deliveries are made in a timely fashion by the most cost-effective route. Inspect vehicle daily and complete the required paperwork. Maintain vehicle in neat and clean condition. Promptly report operating problems or maintenance needs on vehicles. Maintain neat personal appearance and demonstrate a courteous, service-minded attitude in dealing with customers. Keep warehouse manager/supervisor informed of shortages, overloads or damaged merchandise and any complaints received from customers. Other duties as directed by management. Job requirements: Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) and DOT medical certification. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. Minimum High School Diploma. Operate vehicle with a standard transmission. Operate material handling equipment. Ability to safely lift and handle material weighing up-to 100 pounds. Ability to travel a minimum of 80% of the time during an 8-hour work day. Knowledge of State and Federal DOT regulations. Strong work ethic and moral values.
