Luxury Design Build Company seeking a Lead Carpenter and Carpenters for kitchens, baths, additions and whole house remodels Must have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a challenging and fun atmosphere POSITION OVERVIEW: Lead carpenter is 20% job site manager and 80% “hands on” carpenter. Responsibilities: • Perform carpentry at the highest level as required • Supervise laborers, apprentices, and subcontractors • Expedite timely completion of the work to maintain schedule and budget goals • Ensure job site safety, protection, and maintenance of company tools, and enforce all job site protocols • Lead carpenter will perform any professional tasks as required to complete the project. Main tasks should be job opening (job protection, demo, framing, etc.) and job closing (finish carpentry, touch-ups, handyman) • Lead carpenter will produce work and expect others work to meets the highest standards • Read and interpret paperwork, including all plans and specifications, purchase orders, subcontractor work orders, and cost updates. Bring questions, discrepancies, and unusual conditions to the attention of the Project Manager • Understand the scope of the work and discuss all requests for additional work with the Project Manager • Responsible for reporting late subcontractors, discipline problems, problems with schedules, and for keeping the Project Manager informed of job status • Offer suggestions for better production performance. • Responsible for end-of-day procedures, such as clean-up, weather protection and security • Responsible to keep job site safe for homeowners and trade partners • Communicate with clients in a professional manner Experience: • Construction: 10+years (Preferred) • Carpentry: 10+years (Preferred) Job Type: • Full-time Starting wage: • $25.00 /hour plus quarterly bonuses at management discretion. Raises given to high performers • Simple IRA with 3% match • Paid PTO after 1 year Transportation and Tools: • Must have truck and necessary small tools for small remodel projects
