Streetscape Team Member Job Summary: The Ardmore Initiative is seeking a hard-working individual to join our street cleaning team in facilitating our Downtown Beautification Program. The Downtown Beautification Program aims to enhance the attractiveness of Downtown Ardmore through the installation and maintenance of aesthetically pleasing streetscape amenities and seasonal holiday décor, as well as through regular sidewalk cleaning. Essential Duties: · Keeping sidewalks, streets, and public spaces free from litter and debris · Graffiti removal · Maintaining flowerbeds · Planting urns seasonally or as needed · Snow removal · Additional tasks and occasional light maintenance as necessary Responsibilities: · Conduct yourself in a professional manner as a representative of the organization · Notify appropriate department of incidents or necessary repairs · General upkeep of street cleaning equipment · Maintain safe work environment around pedestrians and vehicles · Be responsive in emergency situations · Punctual, regular and reliable attendance is essential Physical requirements: This job requires physical activity. Candidates must have the following abilities: · Follow written and oral instructions to carry out assignments · Use phone communications such as text messaging to coordinate with team and other staff · Perform work in all weather conditions · Lift and carry up to 50 pounds · Walk and/or stand for entire shift · Use of both hands to grasp objects or operate machinery · Ability to bend, stoop, squat, climb a ladder, reach above shoulder level, crouch, kneel, lift, push/pull · Candidates must be at least 18 years old · Possess a valid driver’s license. Hours: This is a part-time (15-20 hours per week) year-round position that provides some flexibility in scheduling hours. Generally, work is to be performed 7 days a week during daylight hours.
