Paid internship for student interested in creative construction projects

Local design / build company is looking for a responsible and inquisitive college or high school student who is interested in a full time internship to explore and assist in different forms of construction. Our projects encompass a spectrum of creative elements such as exterior carpentry work (high end decks, fences, furniture) custom concrete fire tables, metal fabrication, garden / landscape installation, etc... We are looking for someone who has an open mind and is confident enough to feel comfortable learning and assisting in an array of different creative forms of construction. We are a small company (you’d be working directly with the owners) which means we need someone who is flexible and able to shift gears as projects start and stop. Work hours would ideally be full time but we do take vacations and understand our employees have personal lives as well.. so some weeks may be super busy and others fairly slow. This would be a great opportunity for someone in a design program that is interest in high end construction or tactile arts to get their hands dirty. We will pass off as much responsibility as you are willing to carry and in return your opportunity to learn is limitless. Valid drivers license is required as well as personal transportation.
