Inter-County Recycling has a full time position open for a qualified and hard working person. Must be committed & dependable. 40 + hr schedule. 8-5 Mon-Fri Sat 8-1 pm Please contact Michael at 352-746-5272 Experience is preferred, but not required. LOOKING FOR GOOD PEOPLE THAT WANT TO WORK WITH NO DRAMA......... ​​Drug free workplace Scrap buying procedure: Must have great people skills and not afraid of physical work. Preferably someone with scrap buying experience. Greet customers Help customer unload Inspect incoming load (to insure no contaminates) load and unload the scale Grade & price Material-Communicate with customer on grading Enter customer into scrap buying program (if not a current customer) Make sure all customer info is current and correct incl. vehicle & trailer info. Enter weights into scrap buying program / following company procedures & legal requirements Direct customers (to insure material is unloaded in proper location) Communicate (radio) with fellow employees to advise material and unloading method and if any forklift assistance is needed. Inspect material when dumped out of hoppers to ensure quality (no steel or garbage mixed in with Non-ferrous scrap grades) Finish customers tickets Direct customer to pay window Other duties include: Keep front scale area clean and free of loose scrap on floor Sort mixed materials in between customers Ensure all hoppers are empty as soon as possible and ready for other customers Keep hand carts empty of bought materials Dump sorted bins if full Work well with other employees to get the job done in a way that benefits the company.
