Description

The person in this position is responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the equipment, tools and storage areas of a mechanical contractor workshop. Responsibilities include the purchase of tools and materials, acceptance and delivery of materials to jobsites, proper maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure the smooth progression of projects through the warehouse and equipment area. This person is also responsible for the efficient operation of the work area and performs incoming and outgoing inspection on all parts and assemblies and for maintaining a safe working environment and keeping equipment information up to date. This person needs to be: • Self-motivated, organized and possess a strong work ethic • Computer literate • Have an excellent grasp of the English language: verbal and written. • Agile, responsive and good under pressure. • Able to prioritize work and multitask Responsibilities: • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment. • Performing preventative maintenance. • Handling basic repairs and maintenance. • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Physically able to move at least 50 lbs. without assistance. • Physically able to bend, reach and work in small areas. • Physically able to push and pull, equipment and furnishings. • Physically able to stand and to work on hands and knees when required.
