Event Outline First Steps is partnering with the WV Bureau of Behavioral Health to provide the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy training. Instructors will be David Sanders, Recovery Supports Advisor and James Matney, Health Human Resources Specialist Senior. The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© is a 5-day intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills need to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs. The CCAR curriculum prepares participants by helping them to actively listen, ask really good questions, and discover and manage their own stuff. Those that attend the first day of class will received a $10.00 gift card. Class will be held at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, 1135 Fifth Avenue, Huntington, WV.
