Help Doing Better Than Excellence Fill the Truck! Sharing the warmth for our fallen family. We’re hosting our 6th annual Fill the Truck. Every year our goal is to overfill a 17ft U-Haul with items desperately need for homeless shelters in the community. We are requesting a donation of gently used blankets, covers, comforters, toiletries, hand sanitizer, and book bags! All donations will go to the Metanoia Project to help with the efforts of providing better care and provisions for the homeless. This event not only helps raise funds for homelessness but also will raise awareness for our cause across the community. Among families who are homeless with children, the majority cited the loss of a job as the cause, followed by the lack of affordable housing, poverty, low-paying jobs and domestic violence. Did you know 42% of homeless children are under the age of 6 and a child is born into poverty every 33 seconds? Doing Better Than Excellence is a 501(c)(3) non0profit organization driven to provide a safe and secure environment for homeless Veterans and survivors of domestic violence in the Cleveland Area. Teaching a breaking the barriers mentality and creating network skills to succeed on multiple levels by encouraging a “removing the box” mentality.
