Join VCSS for a family-friendly day at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library (WWPL).
Education is the core mission of the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum. For students and scholars alike, we endeavor to cultivate a passion for history, stimulate reflection and encourage discussion about important historical issues. We are committed to reaching out into our community and to the world at large with programming that preserves Woodrow Wilson's legacy and ideals of international cooperation, world peace, and informed citizenship.
This flexible day at the WWPL is designed to fit your family's schedule! VCSS teachers can visit WWPL any time on July 10 after registering with us for this discounted rate*. The WWPL will be hosting special activities during the day, including:
10:15 am - Behind-the-scenes tour of Wilson's birthplace 1:00 pm - Close-up view of Wilson's Pierce-Arrow limousine with discussion 2:15 pm - Behind-the-scenes tour of Wilson's birthplace 3:45 pm - Special look at selected artifacts from the library's collectionThese special activities for teachers are only available for those who pre-register and visit the museum on July 10. Join VCSS board member, Luke Roadcap, for any or all of these activities!
*Only VCSS teachers are required to register for this event on Eventbrite. Please make a note when registering with us as to how many family/friends will be joining you on July 10, so that WWPL can plan accordingly. Additional visitors in your party will be charged regular admission (pay upon arrival)
