Cowboys in the Campfire sing some songs at The Irving Theater Tommy Stinson & his buddy Chip Roberts (COWBOYS IN THE CAMPFIRE) are back on the road, traveling down the east coast fully vaccinated, with a couple of guitars in the back seat and a bunch of great new songs to share with you!A co-founder of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees The Replacements, Tommy Stinson also served as the longtime bassist and musical lieutenant to Axl Rose in Guns N’ Roses. In addition to a solo career, he’s also led his own critically acclaimed combos Bash & Pop and Perfect. Now, Stinson has teamed up with veteran Philadelphia guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Chip Roberts to form Cowboys in the Campfire. An outgrowth of the duo’s roots-oriented songwriting collaboration – the pair wrote for Stinson’s One Man Mutiny and Bash & Pop’s Anything Can Happen –Cowboys in the Campfire will be releasing their debut LP later this year. Singer, songwriter, sideman, and frontman, Tommy Stinson has assumed many different roles in his remarkable 40-year musical odyssey. A co-founder of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees The Replacements, Stinson started performing with the band at age 12, and saw the group through its epic 11-year run. Following the band’s break-up, Stinson would go on to lead his own critically acclaimed combos Bash & Pop and Perfect. For well over a decade, Stinson also served as the bassist and musical lieutenant to Axl Rose in Guns N’ Roses. In 2017, following a triumphant Replacements reunion, Stinson reformed Bash & Pop, and released the brilliant Anything Could Happen on Fat Possum Records. Cowboys in the Campfire will be releasing a record this year and touring backyards all over the US.
