Trying to start a new, and different cover band to play in RI/MA/CT area. Never tried doing it myself, but why not try. All genres welcome, no song too big. I sing/guitar/bass, and have a drummer. Looking for vox. bass/guitar, keys, and fuck it...horns too! If you are female vox and one of these instruments, get over here you magical unicorn of cover band gold! Here me out. Please RI, for the sake of local music. I've been in a handful of cover bands, have friends in bands, all that happy RI horseshit. Aside from ridiculous ego, what do all cover bands have?? THE SAME SET LIST. Hard To Handle, Separate Ways, Talk Dirty to Me, Your Love, Rock and Roll, Moves Like Jagger, Bruno Mars. IF I HAVE TO PLAY I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL ONCE MORE, I'LL EAT MY HANDS! I say forget all that. My name is Dave, and I want to build the best cover band RI has for actual people who like actual music. Metal / Rock / R&B / FUNK / FUSION / everything! Stevie Wonder to Mr. Bungle, Call Me The Breeze to Birdland, Fall Out Boy to Head Automatica. Merle Haggard to Duran Duran. Songs no else is doing because we can. Making noise with other musical people is the most fun I can have, why not go big and challenge yourself as a musician. So now like a sane person. Looking for either a bass player or rhythm guitar player (I will cover other), lead guitar (or maybe 1 really good guy/girl/jellyfish), keys, and yes the long shot but horn players (3 ideally, or a sax only?). I can/could/would sing, but would love another vocalist. It's a loose construct right now but why not try. Rehearsal space with PA, or open to going digital Zoom meeting some ideas and rent out Jam Stage. Its worth a shot, lets make some music for real music fans and have some fun. I'm 38, btw. Or lets just make a great pop punk / alternative cover band that we also lack. Any interest please text or email.
