Description

Funny Fridays @ Londonderry Lions Fri 7/2/2021 We are back for another great night of Funny Fridays standup comedy here in Londonderry, right before we get our grillin' and fireworks on. After lineups celebrating moms and dads, where else to go but with the kids! Our performers are all terrifically talented under-30s, whose profiles span many forms of comic entertainment. Most of all though: they're all very funny. Alex Giampapa - Called "the nicest cynic you'll ever meet", Alex Giampapa began performing stand-up in Boston at the age of 19 and soon became a popular act all across New England. Giampapa's style comedy makes him a popular choice as both a host and a closer, with carefully crafted, silly-but-clever takes on personal matters, social issues, and even today’s complicated political climate. Described as "a distinct, young voice that’s both unique and relatable", Alex's edgy yet upbeat demeanor has made him a favorite among young audiences, with rave reviews from older crowds as well. Alex has had digital success too: he’s been featured on Comedy Central Asia, Funny or Die, and has been the #1 post on Reddit twice. He’s currently the host of The Actual News on YouTube. Twitter: @giamdaddy Katie Arroyo - A dynamic New England comic, Katie is the cohost of the Wicked Funny Podcast and the Pinky Promise Podcast. She also gave up and joined her boyfriend in gaming and streams on Twitch as KatieLearns. With a myriad of life experiences, Katie talks about any subject in with a unique perspective that packs a punch. She performs all over, most recently participating in the Rogue Island Comedy Fest. Izzy da Rosa - Izzy is a Boston-born, New Hampshire-raised young woman who loves comedy, writing, and attention. She started standup after retiring from competitive cheerleading, and has been hooked ever since. As the daughter of immigrants from the Cape Verde Islands, she jokes a lot of her experience as a first-generation American and somewhat ethnically ambiguous Black girl. She has performed all over New England, most notably at Nick’s Comedy Stop, the Comedy Studio, ImprovBoston, Empire Comedy Club, and at many local bar shows. She is a member of the Boston Comedy Chicks team and a co-producer of a comedy show called Wet Cat with 4 other hilarious women. By day, Izzy is a special education teacher whose work is centered on social-emotional learning. When she is not teaching or doing standup, Izzy can be found writing, taking acting classes, and binge watching television. She calls it research. Hosted by Londonderry's own Randy Williams.17+ admitted. $10 in advance, $15 at the door show night. Light refreshments available for purchase.
