Learn everything you need to know to jump into the game with our How the Heck: Intro to Dungeons & Dragons learning event! Grab your sword and shield, adventurer, because we're about to learn how to slay with How the Heck Do I: Dungeons & Dragons, a fun and exciting introductory course teaching you the basics of D&D and tabletop RPGs. The Rook Room is partnering with xBk Live and the D&D experts at Des Moines and Dragons for an evening of fun, learning, drinks, and plenty of nerding out on July 19th! The pros behind the popular Des Moines-based podcast Des Moines and Dragons will be teaching players the basics of playing Dungeons & Dragons including character creation, stats, rolling dice, introductory combat and spells, and more. This course is designed for beginners with little to no experience, but all are welcome if you'd like to know more or get a little refresher. Each adventurer who joins us will not only walk away with some newfound knowledge. They'll also receive a bonus set of dice, Rook Room swag, and a D&D starter packet. xBk will be hosting with chill vibes and exclusive D&D themed drinks as well as beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. Doors open at 5:30 PM with the program starting promptly at 6:30 PM. It will last roughly two hours. Cost is $10 per person. Masks are required when not at your table.
