The Charlotte Center presents The Forum featuring Becky Winkler, Ph.D., Corporate Psychologist on Thinking Patterns & Human Flourishing Participate in the important questions of our time. The Forum is a conversation and speaker series that brings people together to explore challenges and opportunities that affect human flourishing through the lens of the humanities and civic imagination. Please join us for the July 21, 2021 gathering of The Forum featuring Becky Winkler, Ph.D., Corporate Psychologist & Executive Coach. We will consider: How our thinking patterns shape human flourishing and influence the common good. Becky is founder and owner of Dept732c, a human capital consultancy that helps private equity firms optimize human talent decisions. Her firm provides executive assessment, executive coaching, management team building, and organizational diligence and development. In her work with over half of the top U.S. private equity firms, she has engaged with companies from founder-led start-ups to multi-billion-dollar international organizations. Her client base also includes limited partnerships, hedge funds, public companies, and non-profits, where she thrives on unlocking potential to help companies scale. Becky has partnered with Cornell University and Teacher’s College at Columbia University to understand what predicts and sustains executive performance. Her work has been featured in Investor’s Business Daily, the Washington Post, and the Harvard Business Review. Her passion for human development and performance extends to her community service work, including serving as a trustee of the University of Georgia, and past chair of KIPP Charlotte, a non-profit network of college-preparatory, public-charter schools serving students in educationally underserved communities. Becky graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia’s Honors Program with a major in Psychology and a minor in Chinese, and earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from DePaul University. Connect. Consider. Ignite. The program runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time with extra time afterward for conversation, connections, and Q&A. The Forum has a three-part structure: • First third: Participants connect and build relationships in small break-out groups prompted by a question; • Middle third: Participants hear a presentation by and interview with our guest speaker that ends with the speaker posing a question to participants to consider; • Final third: Participants discuss the question, igniting new ideas and interactions.
