While staying at The Barefoot Mailman hotel on 6/14/21 in room #418 I lost a pair of opal stud earrings. The earrings were on the nightstand when I went to sleep and I did not see them when we checked out in the morning. I believe they were knocked off the nightstand accidentally overnight either by one of us or our dog. I did not realize they were missing until we arrived home and I remembered taking them off to go to bed. I have the hotel staff keeping an eye out but the earrings are very small. I did have the forethought to hook them together thru the backings so they should be found together. Staff were not able to easily locate them so they may have ended up in the linens and could have fallen out on the grounds somewhere or could even be inside someones pillowcase or another crazy place. PLEASE, these earrings do not have much monetary value but they are a family heirloom. They belonged to my great grandmother and I have had them since her death in 1983. Needless to say I am heart broken and they are irreplaceable. If you happen to be staying at The Barefoot Mailman on 35th Street in Ocean City and find a small pair of earrings please reach out to me first and then turn them into the hotel manager. They have been very kind and have put up with my calls and repeated requests to look for them. I have family in Ocean City and can arrange for them to be picked up from the hotel immediately.
The picture above is not of my actual earrings but is a VERY good likeness.
Praying for a miracle,
Laura
