Diligent Delivery Systems is seeking a full-time Dispatcher. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong operations skill set and excellent client relationship building skills. The applicant should have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within the logistics industry. Schedule: Monday - Friday 5 am - 2 pm Responsibilities include but not limited to: · Daily quoting, management and coordination of shipments · Data Entry of Customer Orders · Track and trace all shipments · Ensure updates are sent to Customers daily · Update OS (operating system) with Driver updates · Possess and apply strong organization skills including urgency and consistency to meet Customers on-time service delivery requirements · Utilize customer driver computer systems and technology to monitor and track delivery routes, with ability to adjust at-will to meet deadlines · Must have high attention to detail and consistently follow up on issues or delivery exceptions with drivers when required · Basic to Advanced computer skills to run desktop computer and ability to learn additional software products required by Customers · Monitor and ensure route completion of delivery via the driver check-in process. · Track and assist drivers with deliveries for customers in an efficient and professional manner. · Liaison between the customer and driver with delivery updates or issues. · Utilize customer and driver computer systems and technology to monitor and track delivery routes, with ability to adjust at-will to meet deadlines. · Manage all work orders/ customer tickets and data entry. · Report driver performance issues or concerns to appropriate management for resolution. · Provide courtesy calls to the customer for updates on their appointment and estimated time of arrival. · Provide professional customer service and support via phone and or email. Requirements: · Must have (2) two year’s office and/or customer service experience with heavy phone and email · Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills · Heavy data entry · Team environment; good interpersonal skills required, working alongside colleagues and able to work with limited direct supervision · Must be organized and able to multi-task · Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed due to rotating dispatcher schedule. · Transportation and or freight experience a plus · High school diploma or equivalent.
