Chemical Service Technician (PENINSULA & S.F.) The Chemical Service Technician’s role is to install and perform scheduled preventative maintenance service on dish machines and dispensing systems in the (location). The Chemical Service Technician must have strong verbal and written communications skills to work with customers to solve problems and concerns regarding chemicals and chemical usage; and may be asked to work out of the area to assist other technicians. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service on dish machines, electronic dispensing systems, and laundry chemical dispensing systems Install dish-machines; as well as, dispensing systems, on dish machines and laundry machines at customer’s place of business Install chemical mixing station systems using liquids and solid systems Work with customers to solve problems and concerns regarding chemicals and chemical usage Process route paperwork daily and at end of month Test chemical levels to insure proper inputs May at times be asked to work out of area to assist other technicians or to work with Food Sales Representatives Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Minimum Required Qualifications: Min. 2 years of on-site commercial dish machine service/maintenance work experience is preferred. Must be able to fix and provide maintenance to commercial dish machines successfully Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge is required Must have a valid California Driver License Clean driving record a must Basic work tools required to perform job tasks Must perform work/visit customers within the RoadNet time frame Must operate Company van, which is equipped with GPS Must operate Company Nextel radio/phone Spanish speaking a plus Must have stable employment history Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must Ideal candidate will be well organized and able to handle high volumes of incoming service calls Must be a team player and able to work harmoniously and effectively with others and perform well under pressure. Extremely organized to meet various deadlines and cutoffs Physical Demands: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Chemical Service Tech’s job. While performing the responsibilities of a Chemical Service Tech, the employee is required to drive a Company van, talk and hear. This is a PHYSICAL position. The employee must be able to lift 85 lbs, push/pull up to 150 lbs, bend, stoop, turn/twist body, reach, squat, walk, kneel, crouch, stand, and must use their hands and fingers, drive, handle and feel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Salary: DOE Benefits: Great health benefits, matching 401(k), profit sharing and paid holidays, vacation and sick time are also offered.
