WAUWATOSA, WI — A group of people tried to break into an ATM last week using a pickup truck and a towing strap, according to a Wauwatosa police report. The group tried to pull open the machine with a Ford F-250 and a heavy-duty chain towing strap around 3 a.m. June 14 at the Wells Fargo Bank, 2675 N. Mayfair Rd., police said. The truck was later reported stolen from a Wauwatosa resident, and it was found abandoned, according to police. The suspects remain at large.
