MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A 62-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the robbery of the Wells Fargo bank at 6285 14th Street W. in Bradenton Saturday. After sharing images of the bank robber on social media, detectives received various tips, which led to the arrest of Bernard Joseph Arthur Tuesday, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. Arthur was found in Sarasota and taken into custody without incident, the sheriff's office said. Deputies said the bank robber entered Wells Fargo around 11:35 a.m. and waited in the teller line. He handed the teller a note demanding cash and threatening to detonate a bomb if they didn't comply. Like what you're reading? The suspect was described as a middle-aged man, possibly in his 50s, and about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a skinny build and blonde hair. He was wearing a burgundy shirt, jeans and a face mask at the time of the robbery, the sheriff's office said.
