Description
Seasoned bassist / vocalist / songwriter is seeking professional / semi-professional bandmates to restart my longtime band which gave up during the pandemic.
The music is primarily originals (with a few covers), and is easier to play than describe. A mix of styles: rock based, with ska, reggae, funk and jazz elements woven in. It’s danceable and fun to play. A diverse knowledge of music styles or at least an open mind is really helpful. The tunes are charted and demo’d to make them easy to learn quickly.
Sharing your original, stylistically related material, as well as collective improvisation would also be great. The style and shape of this band will undoubtedly be dependent on who we are and what we bring to it, not just my own vision.
As video has been a really effective element for getting gigs I want to focus on that early on. This is only possible If the players do their homework, prepare, and we keep things efficient in rehearsal and simple. I have done a lot of music video editing so the process can be streamlined.
Preference is given to bandmates willing to share social media and other band tasks so we can get out there quickly and get fans to see us when we do.
Please save time by sending samples of your playing and singing and write a little about your goals / ideas. If you sound compatible I’m happy to share more details and video samples of the material.
Thanks for reading and for your consideration.
