WHITEHALL, Wis. — West Bend Mutual Insurance Company announced it has awarded itsSafe Resident Assistance Endowment Grant to Trempealeau County Health Care Center. Inpartnership with LeadingAgeTM Wisconsin, West Bend established the Endowment to providestate-of-the-art equipment to improve transferring or transfer assistance for residents andcaregivers of long-term care facilities across Wisconsin, while easing the financial burden forfacilities. Since the Endowment's creation in 2014, West Bend has awarded more than $175,000in grants to over 35 Wisconsin facilities. "The generosity of West Bend through this grant provides our facility with state-of-the-artequipment that allows our staff to safely transfer residents with the best support possible," saidCurtis Johnson, administrator at Trempealeau County Health Care Center. "These resourcesenable our facility to efficiently move residents safely, and with dignity, while minimizing riskof injury to both residents and caregivers."
