Press release from the City of Roanoke: June 21, 2021 The City of Roanoke has temporarily closed the section of Colonial Avenue from Winding Way to Robyn Road today, Monday, June 21, due to a gas leak that resulted from an ongoing construction project. The road will be closed until further notice so that the work to address the situation can be completed. Roanoke Fire-EMS is on scene and working with Roanoke Gas Co. until conditions are safe.
