DULLES, VA — Two people were rescued Tuesday morning from a car that went into the Dulles Airport Pond near the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott.
Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police and fire responded around 5:30 a.m., to the report of a vehicle in the pond near the hotel, according to Micah Lillard, as spokesman for the authority.
"The vehicle's two occupants were rescued with no injuries," he said. "There is not yet a determination regarding the cause for why the vehicle entered the lake. Traffic and airport operations are not impacted, and the vehicle has since been removed."
