BOWIE, MD — Five officers and one civilian worker from the Bowie Police Department won awards last Wednesday. The honors "recognized the stellar individuals who commit themselves to public safety while demonstrating outstanding work."
The awards came from the Police Chiefs' Association of Prince George's County. The Bowie Police Department cheered these winners:
2019 Officer of the Year - Cpl. T. Welsh2020 Civilian of the Year - Ellen Boswell 2020 Officers of the Year - Cpl. R. Warrington & Officer K. Copper 2020 Community Services Officer of the Year - MPO J. Simms 2020 Investigator of the Year - Detective Cpl. H. Booth "We offer our sincere congratulations to our own Bowie Police Department award recipients, who displayed exemplary service to the Bowie community throughout the past two years," the agency tweeted.
