Description
ARLINGTON, VA — Mocha is a gray female domestic shorthair cat who's looking for her forever home with the help of the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.
"This gorgeous dilute calico is wonderfully affectionate and loves to be by your side," Mocha's foster dad told AWLA. "She's superbly trained and instantly curious and comfortable in new spaces. Mocha is quite vocal with wonderful intonations in her speech and will quickly reveal her preferences through body language and tail flicks. She's as gentle as can be and longs for attention. If you're searching for an 'instant housecat' who understands cues and lives to love, this queen should be on your shortlist!"
(Animal Welfare League of Arlington) Some of Mocha's favorite activities include exploring, playing with cat toys that have bells, eating treats, and snuggling up in on warm bed or blanket next to her human friends — that's where she gets all the best pets.
Now that the Arlington County Animal Shelter has reopened for in-person visits, why not schedule an appointment to visit Mocha during adoption hours?
AWLA is also making it more affordable to adopt a cat this week. In honor of Cat World Domination Day on Thursday, the rescue is offering name-your-price adoption fees for all adult cats 6 months and older. The promotion runs from 12 p.m., on Thursday, through 4 p.m., on Sunday.
Pet of the Week highlights animals available for adoption from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. The Arlington County Animal Shelter at 2650 S. Arlington Mill Drive, Arlington, VA 22206, is closed to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic. Pets are still available to adopt. Visit AWLA's website to find out more.
