DANBURY, CT — In yet another sign that the pandemic is firmly in the rearview mirror, the drive-thru mass coronavirus vaccination site at the Danbury Fair Mall will close at the end of the month. The operation will join sister clinics in Middletown, Stamford and East Hartford, all run by The Community Health Center, and pull up stakes effective June 30. The health center has been offering vaccinations against COVID-19 since March. The clinic will continue to offer the vaccine at its 8 Delay Street location, Monday through Friday, 8:50 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. Residents can schedule an appointment through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Vaccine Administration Management System or by calling 877-918-2224 or 211 or walk in without an appointment. Just under half of the city's population was completely vaccinated as of Thursday, according to data made available by the state Department of Public Health. <
