Saint Vrain Creek Tubing Ban Ends

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — A Boulder County tubing ban for Saint Vrain and North Saint Vrain creeks was rescinded at noon Monday. There is no longer an immediate danger from the spring runoff into the creeks, said Boulder County Sheriff Joseph Pelle. All single chamber flotation devices were banned on the waterways from Apple Valley Road/County Road 71 (upper Apple Valley Road) to North Foothills Highway. First responders had to rescue several tubers before the ban took effect June 9. The order was issued due to significant rainfall and spring runoff that has caused the St. Vrain River flow to reach dangerous levels, officials said.
