Description
Looking to start a small, three-piece group to play unique, acoustic covers of (modern & classic) folk, Americana, and singer-songwriter tunes from the last 60-or-so years. Ideally looking for a multi-instrumentalist and a female singer (bonus points for female singers who can play an instrument). Would envision playing gigs at dining establishments, Sunday afternoon gigs at the beach, and similar style gigs. I sing and play guitar, piano/keyboards, ukulele, and bass proficiently. I am also mediocre with a couple other instruments.
Influences include the Avett Brothers, the Lumineers, Jason Isbell, Nathaniel Rateliff, David Gray, Don McLean, Jim Croce, the Beatles, Tom Petty, Sam Cooke, Don Henley, Norah Jones, John Mayer, Michael Kiwanuka, Kris Kristofferson, Jack Johnson, Sturgill Simpson, Lake Street Dive, Brandi Carlile, the Head and the Heart, Ray LaMontagne, Leon Bridges, Brittany Howard, Amy Winehouse, and many others in that vein.
FWIW - I’m a white collar professional in my early 40’s, and am looking to play a couple times a month tops. I have all the equipment necessary for a band, so bringing band equipment is not important/necessary. I also have ample practice space for a six-piece band, and have a full drum set should it be needed.
