Description

MOORESVILLE, NC — Mooresville residents in need of purging old bulky items lying around the house and garage will have an opportunity to do just that this weekend. The Town of Mooresville is hosting a Community Clean-Up event Saturday downtown. The June 26 event runs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the corner of East Iredell Avenue and North Church Street. "Volunteers will be on hand to help unload the debris, or items that the Town does not pick up on a regular basis (including construction materials, tires, and electronics)," the town said. Pain and hazardous household waste will not be accepted at the event, organizers said. "Town trucks and volunteers will also be utilized to pick up debris that has been placed on the curb," the town said. Anyone who wants debris removal at their home may call 704-799-4020 to ensure a town truck picks it up at the curb. Want to volunteer? The town is seeking community help during the clean-up event. More information about volunteer opportunities may be found here.
