VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Two new business in Cahaba Heights will hold a joint ribbon cutting event June 29. Love Desserts and The Smocking Bird are the latest additions to the Vestavia Hills business community. The Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce hosts the celebration from noon to 1 p.m. at The Heights Village. Love Desserts (formerly 'Lette Macarons Vestavia) is coming back to the Heights Village in Cahaba Heights, offering macarons, gelato, shaved ice, artisan chocolates and more. The Smocking Bird has been southeastern Alabama's premiere heirloom sewing shop for more than 25 years, providing stitching enthusiasts with the finest selection of designer fabrics, imported laces, and smocking supplies the industry has to offer. The business operated in Homewood for the last two decades.
