Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 06/22/2021   On Tuesday June 22, 2021, at around 12:05am officers responded to the I-75/85 interchange in south Atlanta. On scene officers found an adult male pedestrian had been hit and killed by a vehicle while in the roadway. Preliminary investigation found that the decedent had been driving north on I-85 and was in a crash with another vehicle on that roadway. In that collision the decedent's vehicle overturned. After this crash the decedent got out of his vehicle and crossed the median wall on foot to enter the II-85 SB lanes. Another vehicle traveling south on I-85 struck the decedent. No charges are anticipated in this collision.   Please keep in mind this is preliminary information and could change as new facts are discovered.
