Fairfield Man Arrested In Ensley Shooting Death

BIRMINGHAM, AL — An arrest has been made in the deadly June 14 shooting in Ensley. Darric Hall of Fairfield has been charged with murder in the death of Anthony Jackson, Jr. Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said Jackson was inside his truck when a suspect driving a silver SUV fired several times, striking Jackson. Mauldin said detectives believe Jackson was targeted. Hall led police on a chase after the shooting and successfully eluded them, Mauldin said. Saturday, Hall was located and arrested in Brighton. Hall is being held at Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
