Hiring Carpenter's helpers. Duties include using, supplying or holding materials or tools. Loading and unloading tools, Cleaning and maintaining machines and equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe job site. Work is in the Wichita metro area. We work for a handful of area home builders and stay busy. You need to be able to keep busy, follow instructions and communicate. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, be able to stand for an eight hour shift, bend and lift repeatedly, and carry and move cabinets. Ladder work is common, so people with a fear of heights are not encouraged to apply. Employees MUST have reliable transportation and an alarm clock they can count on. A tool belt with basic hand tools are required, other equipment will be furnished. You'll be training to learn the necessary skills to be a carpenter. Problem solving. Fastening trim or lumber with glue, screws, pegs, or nails and install hardware. Learning spacing layout and measuring, marking, drilling and cutting. Learn to select tools, equipment, or materials to complete tasks Cut trim, lumber, or paneling to specified dimensions. Position and installing trim, lumber, or paneling in place for fastening or cutting.
