Description
Aerospace Service Provider has FT position that provides the operation, including loading and unloading, of the semi-automatic passivation line. Wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing tank maintenance such as tank additions, new tank makeup, discharge, and clean outs. By following established procedures and practices, ensures parts are processed to meet customer expectations. The focus of this position is to maintain a steady flow of product through this functional area with high regard to safety and quality. Essential Functions • Works safely in all aspects of operations and in all areas of responsibility. • Adheres to Company Safety Policies and Programs such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Incident/Injury Reporting and Hazard Communication and Labeling. • Operates a multi-tank system that utilizes various concentrations of acidic and alkaline solutions and water to passivate stainless steel parts. • Independently performs the job of passivation operator in its entirety as assigned. • Performs the passivation process to engineering specifications through utilizing one or a combination of: procedures, manual, work instructions, router, and written instructions. • Maintains equipment and a clean, organized work area. • Collects chemical samples for lab analysis. Analyzes test results and takes corrective action to maintain bath parameters within operating specifications. • Operates ultrasonic cleaning machines. • Maintain cleanliness and organization in department utilizing 5S. • Safely utilizes material handling equipment to move customers jobs. • Support team to achieve department and company goals. • Participate in Continuous Improvement programs. • Communicate production status and issues with other operators and supervision through face-to-face meetings and through email. • Follow established procedures and processes. • Complete assigned maintenance tasks. • This position will perform other duties as assigned. TRAINING & EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT • Employee will successfully complete all Passivation Operator training within six months. Physical Requirements • Must be able to safely lift up to 40 lbs. for continued periods during a given shift. • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to twelve 12 hours). • Able to work in a non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment for up to 12 hours per shift. • Visual acuity. • Clear communication skills. Qualification/Background High School graduate or equivalent. Work experience.
