The Union Club endeavors to provide unrivaled facilities, stimulating programs and impeccable service consistent with its traditional emphasis on gracious hospitality and timeless elegance What You Will Do/Need (Job Summary): The Bilingual Kitchen Steward is required to maintain the kitchen and surrounding areas in a clean and sanitary manner by following the cleaning schedules and adhering to the Heath and Hygiene regulations and club policy and procedures. Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities) · Washing all pots and pans, dishware, glassware and silverware storing in designated areas · Sweeping, mopping and detail cleaning of floors, walls, shelving and all back of the house areas · Detailed cleaning of all ovens, warmers, deep fryers, grills, flat tops, and portable grilling equipment · Inspecting all chemicals in sanitizer buckets, dish machines and compartment sinks according to Health regulations · Inspecting all thermometers in refrigerators and freezers for proper temperatures each shift · All garbage and recycling refuse and cleaning of all garbage cans · Ensuring all breakages and chipped items are taken out of circulation and inventoried · Ensuring all equipment is in working order and report any items in need of repair · Following all county health dept. regulations, department policies, procedures and service standards · Maintaining a clean and safe work environment · All other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required) · High School diploma or GED equivalent · Must be organized *** Bilingual Spanish and English What Will Make You Special (Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities) · Serve Safe certification would be helpful, but is not required. · Prior Kitchen Steward experience Physical Demands and Work Environment · Must be able to frequently lift up to 20 pounds · Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time · Must be able to climb and balance · Must be able to kneel, stoop and bend · Must be able to reach with hands and arms · Requires visual acuity and ability to hear to clearly communicate with managers, coworkers and guests Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: Kitchen Steward: 1 year (Preferred) Language: Spanish and English (Required) License/Certification: ServSafe (Preferred)
