IMPORTANT: Do not respond if you want to play in a band that has a web site.
Them: beat-down bureaucrats bruising the never-ending necktie nine-to-five, lingering in line for tasteless truck tacos at humid noon.
Them: Listened to Kind of Blue once, liked the second track. Likes jazz, you know, in a general sense. Favorite artists include Cormack McArthur and Winton Marsala. Thinks cats are a kind of animal (this is actually correct).
Us: We forget to tune up before the first chart. You honk on the authentic Monk changes and I play on the Miles shit that got put in Real Book 5th ed. It sounds fine anyway, plus we're the only people who know what we're listening to. We draw displeased glances. We play louder.
It's okay with me if you play accordion. Percussionists only if you can pull off that one dilla beat that everyone tries to play, but on tambourine. If you bring an instrument that anyone would reasonably describe as a "horn" you are going to have some explaining to do.
This is not a shitpost.
