Seeking Bassist for Progressive Post Metal Band

Established Washington, DC/San Diego metal band Lapsarian is seeking a bassist to complete our lineup and be part of recording a full-length album. Our music is broadly inspired by progressive post-metal, sludge, and black metal. We recorded an EP in 2019 (check it out at lapsarian.bandcamp.com) and are actively working on our first LP. With this new album, we’re working on better realizing our sound and releasing some killer music. Parted with last bassist on friendly terms - life happens! Must have own gear and be vaccinated. While most of the bass parts are already written, there is room for you to change the parts to accommodate your style. Your creative input is welcome. Any recorded material of your bass playing that you would like to share is a big plus. Personality-wise, we’re hoping you’re both good-humored and reliable. Recording for this LP is our primary focus and its prep work will be mostly remote, though there may be plans for a small tour after LP release. We meet virtually every other week to talk about the album’s progress. Looking forward to rehearsing with DC-based members in the coming months.
