Description
First of all, "rehoming" a pet is SELLING animals, period. I don't care how much it "breaks your heart" and how noble you are to ask for a "small rehoming fee" to assure that your beloved pet goes to a good home. (There are exceptions of course, such as illness or incapacity.)
Then there's the obvious and disgusting practice of flipping dogs. You can spot these fairly easily. Note the construction of the descriptions that are posted to spot multiple listings by the same person. Including a title like the pet's name, for instance. Posting an animal to "rehome" that is very young with no believable reason is another. And location is a big one, for example, Covington and Iron Gate are very close in proximity. There are vile humans who take animals from shelters with the only plan to be a "rehome" for a "small fee." Placing animals (particularly dogs) in various homes after leaving a shelter is traumatizing to say the least. If dog flippers were decent people they would realize this. I'm not alone in the monitoring of internet posts for obvious animal flippers. We mean business. We can't stop them all, but we won't stop doing what we can.
