Summary Description:
Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse.
Perform general maintenance work in and around the Village Flooring Plus property to keep the facility in good repair, and keep the appearance in well-maintained condition.
Detailed Description:
Follow general office procedures for handling/maintaining packing slips, invoices, shipping tickets, etc.
Move materials with forklift from delivery vehicles to warehouse, and from warehouse to outgoing vehicles.
Receive, unpack, and track merchandise.
Inspect for damaged goods.
Remove trash from warehouse and office space as required to maintain good housekeeping. Do general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties.
Assemble and set up showroom sample displays as required.
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks that are not complex enough to need the specialized training of a licensed tradesperson, such as a plumber or electrician. Perform routine preventive maintenance as required.
Use common hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, and hammers to fix, replace, or repair equipment and parts of buildings.
Perform general maintenance and repair work to fix or paint windows, doors, floors, woodwork, walls, and other parts of buildings.
Inspect and report problems that require attention of outsourced labor.
Report jobs above your skill level and requires the expertise of an electrician; a carpenter; a heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration mechanic or installer; or a plumber.
