RAM Cellars & VIV Wines Summer Shindig and TLDEF Fundraiser! ***Covid-19 Safety Protocols: For this event, we ask that you wear your mask when not seated at your table. We're excited to see the end of the pandemic soon and are thankful for your help in keeping everyone safe at our Summer Shindig Event!*** We're so excited to share this event with you! On Sunday, August 22nd, at Hip Chicks Do Wine (4510 SE 23rd St, Portland, OR), we'll be pouring a special lineup curated by Viv for your tasting pleasure that includes 3 of our current VIV label wines as well as 4 RAM cellars label wines. We'll have those 7 wines open, charcuterie, cheese and other complementary small bite foods to pair with the wines (vegan options avaiable), music from several of our talented friends, and an evening of good times raising $10 per tasting fee for our VIV label partner organization the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund (TLDEF) in support of their Name Change Project. As you probably already know, providing direct support to queer and transgender communities is something that is incredibly important to us at RAM Cellars. The TLDEF supports low income transgender people through the legal name change process through their Name Change Initative, which currently provides support services in 8 major eastern seaboard cities. Per the TLDEF's spring newsletter this year, they'll be expanding the Name Change Project to several additional southern U.S. cities this later this year. The event is also a fundraiser - $10 from the tasting fee (ticket price) will be donated to the TLDEF! Additionally, as part of the night's tasting lineup, we'll have VIV label wines that benefit the TLDEF and Portland's Q Center through the $5 donation per bottle sold open and available for purchase. We'll be pouring our: 2020 Riesling 2018 VIV La Lumiere White Blend (Riesling & Gewurztraminer) 2019 VIV Rose of Pinot Noir 2020 Rose of Tempranillo 2018 Metaux Lourds red blend (Cab Franc & Tempranillo) 2016 Malbec And our 2018 VIV Petit Verdot Please join us for a night of wine, music, laughter and fun while raising funds for the TLDEF!
